Job description for logistics employee
As a Logistics Worker, you are responsible for receiving, storing and issuing raw materials, packaging materials and finished products so that production is delivered on time and correctly to the production and distribution department.
You’re in the freezer for 1 to 2 hours per shift. -18 degrees.
One week you work the morning shift and the next week you work the afternoon shift.
In the morning you start at 05:00 or 06:00.
In the afternoon you start at 14:00 or 15:00.
Your responsibillities
- Be alert to safety, report unsafe situations.
- Correct supply of raw materials to production.
- Timely removal of produced items to the warehouse.
- Unloading and loading trucks.
Ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Checking receipts and reporting discrepancies.
- Complying with rules on food safety, quality and the environment.
You are a match if
- Sees safety as priority #1
- Operate with precision
- Have a command of the English language, both spoken and written
- Have a Reach Truck or Forklift certificate
- You have a hands-on mentality and can work well with co-workers
- You are willing to work shifts
- You can cope with temperature differences in different areas
- Possession of a valid B licence
- Have a Greek ID card or European passport (Greek ID card must have been issued within the last 5 years and must be free of any deterioration)
What we offer
- Gross salary per hour 15,80 €, excluding allowance for working in a freezer area and allowance for shifts.
- Allowance between 18:00 – 24:00 (133%).
- Allowance between 24:00 – 06:00 (135%).
- Bonus for shift work in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement.
- 8% Holiday allowance.
- 3% Year-end bonus.
- 5% freezing charge.
We provide you with a home as close to work as possible. We offer a private room in a house together with your colleagues. The cost for the rent is around €200 per week and includes water, electricity, natural gas and internet.
- We take care of the transportation by finding a car for you (either personal or shared with roommates).
- Covered travel costs to and from work (fuel card).
- We will pick you up from the airport and bring you to your new home.
- We will get you your Dutch healthcare insurance and tax number
- The respective employment contract, signed one day before your departure for the Netherlands (it is in English).
